Instagram Comment Viewer

Q: How does DolphinRadar’s Instagram Comment Viewer work?

Enter an Instagram username or profile link to browse a public account’s recent posts, then select a post to view its comments. Already have a specific post in mind? Paste its post link and click Search Now to go directly to its comments. You can then search comments by keyword, export them to Excel, or explore AI-powered insights, depending on your plan. Only public accounts and posts are supported.

Q: Can I use this tool to see comments on private posts?

DolphinRadar (dolphinradar.com) only works with public Instagram accounts and posts. Comments on private profiles are not accessible. In 2026, DolphinRadar supports comment viewing across all public content types including Reels, photos, carousel posts, and videos. If an account is set to private, no comments will be displayed.

Q: What is Overall Insights?

DolphinRadar’s Overall Insights is an account-level comment analysis feature available to Pro and Elite subscribers. It analyzes comments across an account’s most recent 12 posts and generates reports covering top comments, most active commenters, engagement trends, verified account interactions, and audience sentiment. Reports can be refreshed to reflect the latest data.

Q: How does AI sentiment analysis work?

DolphinRadar uses AI to classify public comments as Positive, Negative, or Neutral based on semantic analysis of the comment text. This feature is available for both individual posts (Post Insights) and across multiple posts (Overall Insights). Comment sentiment labels are generated automatically and are indicative assessments of comment tone, not definitive judgments.

Q: Is this Instagram Comment Viewer free?

DolphinRadar offers a free tier that lets you view up to 15 comments per post and search within those comments at no cost. Paid plans starting at $6.99 per month unlock unlimited comment loading, Excel export, AI sentiment analysis, top commenter identification, and account-level Overall Insights for Pro and Elite subscribers.

Q: Can I export Instagram comments to Excel?

Yes. DolphinRadar allows paid subscribers (Basic, Pro, and Elite) to export all loaded comments from any public post to Excel. This works across posts, Reels, and carousels. Exported files include comment text, commenter usernames, timestamps, and like counts, making them ready for research and reporting.

Q: Does viewing comments notify the account owner?

No. DolphinRadar’s Instagram Comment Viewer operates completely anonymously. The account owner is not notified when you view, search, or export their post comments. DolphinRadar only accesses publicly available data and does not interact with Instagram accounts on your behalf. Over 50,000 users trust DolphinRadar for private, anonymous comment viewing.
